Louise Williamson our Head Trainer has trained to become a compassionate and qualified Pet Bereavement Counsellor, dedicated to providing support for individuals navigating the profound loss of their beloved pets, who are undeniably cherished members of the family.

With nine years of experience at Downland Vets and a background as a Professional Dog Trainer for twelve years, Louise has witnessed firsthand the immense impact of pet loss on pet owners. Just a couple of years ago, Louise endured the heart-wrenching loss of her cherished companion, Charlie, her border terrier, who had been an integral part of her life for nearly 17 years. Her absence left a profound void, and making the difficult decision to end her suffering was an incredibly painful experience.

This personal journey taught Louise the vital importance of grieving for our companions and the necessity of providing a safe space for others to process their own grief. Motivated by this understanding, she pursued and excelled in a Level 3 diploma in Pet Bereavement Counselling, solidifying her expertise in this area.

Currently living in Chichester, West Sussex, Louise is committed to extending her support and empathy to those in need during their time of pet loss. Whether you would prefer face to face (within a 20 miles radius from Chichester), online or telephone consult Louise can offer any of these services to help you through the grieving process.
